2023 Seniors Matches

Welcome to the Allendale Seniors page.  The 2023 Seniors matches are confirmed as follows:

Gosforth Away: 4th May 2023 – 10:30 1st tee off
Bellingham Away: Rearranged for 6th July 2023 – 10:30 1st tee off
Bellingham Home: 15th June 2023 – 10:30 1st tee off (team size tbc)
Beamish Home:  22nd June 2023 – 10:30 1st tee off
Prudhoe Away  3rd August 2023 – 11:30 1st tee off (team size tbc)
Golf in the Wild Open: 14th September 2023 – will be bookable on BRS @ £10/entry

All future matches against Gosforth have now been cancelled at the request of their Seniors Committee. This is due to increasing difficulties in fielding a full team.

2023 Golf in the Wild Open

The 2023 Golf in the Wild Seniors Open at Allendale Golf Club is scheduled for Thursday 14th September. The competition is an individual stableford, open to gents and ladies aged 55 and over. It will be played off the white tees such that gents can experience the par-5 6th. Tee times can be booked online through BRS.

Catering will be available from 08:30 – bacon rolls in the morning and light snacks throughout the day. Subject to the number of entries, prize money will be a minimum of £100 for first place, £50 second and £25 third. There will also be a £30 prize and additional trophy for the best gross. This splendid trophy has been kindly donated by Tony Brown from Scarborough North – named the Spartylea Trophy, it reflects his affection for the area and golf in the wild at Allendale.

Signed copies of Golf in the Wild – Going Home will be available for purchase at at £10 on the day.
